Do I need a credit card to try UploadsPro?
No. The Basic plan is completely free and is assigned automatically when you install the app from the Shopify App Store. You only need to add a payment method if you decide to upgrade to Professional.
Is there a free trial for Professional?
The Basic plan works as an unlimited-time free tier so you can evaluate the app on real orders. When you're ready for unlimited uploads, larger files, or PDF/document support, you can upgrade to Professional at any time — features unlock instantly and billing is prorated.
What happens if my store hits the 100 uploads/month limit on Basic?
New customer uploads are blocked until the following month. Your existing fields and previously uploaded files remain fully accessible. You'll see a usage banner in the app dashboard as you approach the cap so you can upgrade before it hits.
Can I accept PDFs or Word documents on the Basic plan?
No — Basic only accepts image files (JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF). Professional accepts all file types including PDF, DOCX, ZIP, PSD, AI and more. This lets stores that need document uploads (custom printing, engraving briefs, professional services) get the right tools without limiting hobbyist stores.
What's the "Powered by UploadsPro" link?
A small, discreet grey link shown below each upload field on the storefront for Basic-plan stores. It doesn't affect functionality, and it disappears completely on Professional. Most merchants upgrading to Pro do so both for the extra features and to remove the branding.
Can I cancel Professional anytime?
Yes — cancel from your Shopify billing settings or from within the app. Your store returns to the free Basic plan at the end of the current billing cycle. Fields you created on Pro are preserved; they simply follow the Basic limits going forward (new fields max out at 5, images only, etc.).
Do prices include taxes?
Billing is handled entirely by Shopify. Taxes are applied automatically based on your store's location and shown in your Shopify invoices.
